The Farmers Market

Our Sustainability Team works with our vendors to encourage awareness and education on the importance of supporting the local economy and food system, while engaging with the JMU community. The Farmers Market accepts Dining Dollars and Flex in addition to cash and credit.

The Farmers Market is held every Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Madison Union Patio. See semester specifics below:

  • Fall: August-November (Weather permitting)
  • Spring: March (post Spring Break)- May

In December, there is a Winter Market held where vendors showcase more seasonal items. Hours for that event vary from the traditional Farmers Market and will be announced via socials beforehand.
